Medford, OR (JULY 29, 2026) — Cult-favorite acting icon Bruce Campbell (“Evil Dead,” “Bubba Ho-Tep,” “Burn Notice”) will take his new film “Ernie & Emma” on a nationwide screening tour in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, bringing the independent film directly to audiences across the country. The tour will feature special screenings, live introductions, and behind-the-scenes conversations with Campbell, giving fans an intimate look at the making of the film and its deeply personal themes.

The tour kicks off Friday, September 4 in Los Angeles and will make stops in California, New York, Texas, Washington, D.C., North Carolina, Virginia, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Colorado, and more through November 14.

A departure from the classic genre films that have marked Campbell’s career, the romantic comedy “Ernie & Emma” follows Ernie Tyler, a small-town pear salesman who sets off across Pear Valley, Oregon, after the passing of his beloved wife, Emma. Guided by the meticulous list of instructions she leaves behind, Ernie’s journey becomes a bittersweet and transformative road trip that challenges him to confront loss, rediscover purpose, and honor the life he shared with Emma.

The Alamo Drafthouse tour follows a string of sold-out screenings Campbell hosted earlier this year at several independent theaters. “Ernie & Emma” debuted to a packed house at the historic Holly Theatre in Medford, Oregon in February, with moviegoers lining the block to get a seat. Campbell subsequently sold-out screenings in Portland and Boise before returning home to Detroit’s storied Redford Theatre in June, where audiences gave the film a standing ovation and peppered Campbell with questions during a lively post-screening Q&A. The run of sold-out engagements at beloved independent venues has built a groundswell of audience demand and critical buzz ahead of the fall tour.
